Royal Icing

Royal icing pipes like a traditional icing, but it dries rock hard. It is perfect for making flowers, gingerbread houses and floodwork cookies.

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbs Meringue powder

  • 4 cups Icing sugar

  • 5 Tbs Warm water

Directions

  • Sanitize mixing bowl, spatula and beater with boiling water

  • Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl

  • Beat on low speed until incorporated

  • Beat on high speed for 5 min

  • Cover with a damp cloth until ready to use

*Add more water to make a thinner consistency for floodwork. Store in an airtight container upside down. Icing will keep for a few days, but for best results use right away.
