Almond Bark

This is one of my all time favourite recipes! Almond Bark is a delicious candied almond layer ontop of a flakey pastry crust. It is to die for!

Ingredients

Bottom

  • 1/4 cup flour

  • 1/2 cup butter

  • 2 tbs icing sugar

Top

  • 4 tbs butter

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup half and half cream

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1 cup sliced almonds

Directions

  • For bottom, combine all ingredients in small bowl.

  • Grease 9" baking pan and bake bottom for 10 min.

  • On stove, melt butter and sugar in medium pot.

  • Add vanilla and half and half cream.

  • Boil for 3 min.

  • Remove from heat, and stir in almonds.

  • Spread over base and bake for 12 min.
